World Wildlife Fund ‘Steps In It’ With 9/11 Ad

World Wildlife Fund would like to remind you, as we approach the anniversary of 9/11/01, that it was nothing compared to the devastation following a tidal wave.
While WWF claims that they didn’t approve of this ad showing dozens of planes about to strike New York City, DDB Brasil (ad company) says otherwise.
Who thought this was a good idea?
The ad copy reads:
“The tsunami killed 100 times more people than 9/11. The planet is brutally powerful. Respect it. Preserve it.”
Talk about screwed up. What’s the message here? Apparently it’s saying that the Earth is a greater danger to us than radical Islam so therefore we should live in fear of it. Or maybe, you should only respect and preserve things based on how much brutality and power they have.
No. That can’t be it…
There is only one message: Cheap sensationalism capitalizing on a horrific crime to emphasize a natural disaster only proves that the WWF should never again receive another dime.
